What an incredible evening it was at the Second Annual Rehart Gesner Benefit Recital! Held on April 14, 2024 at a private residence in Las Vegas, this special event brought together music lovers and supporters of the arts to raise over $26,000 for voice lessons for CCSD music teachers. Thanks to your generosity, we can continue to enrich our community through music education.

Celebrating Talented Voices

The highlight of the evening were performances by seven exceptional singers from the LATOUR voice studios, LLC. Each artist brought their unique talents to the stage, delivering a mix of classical and contemporary pieces that captivated the audience. Among them was a Rehart Gesner Scholarship recipient, Ashlee Ruder, whose singing and brief testimonial inspired everyone in attendance. Her passion for music and dedication to her craft exemplified the mission of the Rehart Gesner Fund.

Additionally, we were delighted to feature Jeremy Russo on cello for multiple performances, including the World Premiere of The Gray Chair, a composition by Shane Jensen. The combination of live performance and original work underscored the mission of the recital: to support and celebrate local artistry and music educators.

A Thriving Silent Auction

The silent auction added an extra layer of excitement to the evening, with a wide array of items generously donated by local businesses and community members. From unique experiences to gift certificates and wine, attendees eagerly placed their bids, knowing that every dollar raised would support local music educators. The energy in the room was infectious as guests competed for their favorite items, all while contributing to a worthy cause.

Culinary Delights

Guests were also treated to a delicious selection of food catered by Encore Private Dining and Events. The menu featured a range of delectable bites that enhanced the evening’s festivities, allowing attendees to mingle and enjoy great conversation amidst the beautiful music all the while sipping on a variety of beverages from the open bar. The culinary experience was a perfect complement to the performances and added to the overall ambiance of the night.

A Heartfelt Thank You

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and volunteered. Your support is invaluable in making events like this a success. We extend our gratitude to our donors, performers, volunteers and everyone involved in bringing the evening to life. Together, we are making a significant impact on music education in our community and ensuring that local music teachers receive the support they need.

As we reflect on the success of this year’s recital, we are filled with hope for the future. The funds raised will directly benefit local music educators by providing voice lessons and vocal health education, helping them to inspire the next generation of musicians.

Stay tuned for updates on next year’s recital and other initiatives. Let’s continue to celebrate the power of music together! 🎶

On April 16th, 2023, the Rehart Gesner Fund marked a significant milestone with its very first Annual Benefit Recital, and we are thrilled to announce that this inaugural event raised over $35,000, a testament to the generosity and support of our community. The funds raised are a vital step towards achieving our mission of assisting music teachers in exploring and developing their own musical talents.

The event hosted 65 guests who enjoyed delicious food from Encore Private Dining and an open bar provided by Spring Mountain Motorsports. We also had the privilege of featuring six talented performers from the LATOUR voice studios, LLC, accompanied by the exceptional Shane Jensen on piano. Their wonderful performances not only showcased their musical skills but also embodied the very essence of what the Rehart Gesner Fund aims to support and cultivate.

In addition to the musical performances, the event also included a silent auction, significantly contributing to the fundraising success.
